Prof. Loh and Prof. Foo embarked on the research into the field of biotics with the focus on postbiotic.

2003

First paper on Lactobacillus plantarum I-UL4 published in Pakistan Journal of Nutrition.

2016 & 2017

Obtained our patents for postbiotic:
Patent 1: Probiotic composition for nutraceutical product (MY-162183-A)
Patent 2: Tumour cytotoxic agent and methods thereof (MY-158393-A)

2021

Obtained HALAL certification for our postbiotic issued by Department of Islamic Development (JAKIM), Malaysia.

2022

  1. Bionexus Status Readiness Award 2022, by Ministry of Agriculture & Food Industries (MAFI), Malaysia.
  2. Our postbiotic strain, Lactobacillus plantarum RS5, registered and approved by National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
